After the cancellation of the TUNDRA races on Sunday, September 11th, State Park Speedway along with the organizers of the George Seliger Memorial events have worked together to add the Mini-Mod and Mini-Stock events to the Eve of Destruction schedule on Saturday, September 24th.
The Mini-Mod race, which has been organized in memory of Geroge Seliger, will pay $1,000 to win and $150 to start for the 36-lap event, and have a starting field of 18 cars. The Mini-Stock race will see a heightened purse as well, thanks to Kole Ferge.
“We are happy we could keep this event local in memory of George Seliger, ” said Ferge, one of the organizers of the event. “State Park Speedway was his home track where he was very successful.”
These events will kick off the racing action on Saturday, September 24th with all of the Eve of Destruction events immediately following.
Fan gates will open at 12:30pm with Mini-Mod & Mini-Stock Qualifying at 1:00pm and racing starting at 2:00pm.
