State Park Speedway is prepared to throw money into the purse for the June 30th event, but it’s up to drivers to answer the call. If 15 or more driver pre-enter before June 21st, the Auto Select Super Late Model’s presented by C-Tech will race for $1,500 to win and the receive $500 to start. If 20 or more drivers pre-enter by June 21st, the purse will bump up even more, to $2,000 to win. If more than 15 entries are received this will also become a four tire event.
“The June 30th event is already packed with fun and we hope that putting this out to the drivers will help us get more cars and put on a great show,” said State Park Speedway Owner Ron Wimmer. “We hope this shows that we are making the effort to get more cars and that we will have a full field that night.”
Erik Jones has plans to race at State Park Speedway on June 30th before heading to Road America for his NASCAR Cup Series race. On top of that, June 30th is also slated as Wausau Optimist Kid’s Night with bike races and free ice cream for kids as well as Christmas in July with a visit from Santa and games for kids. The night will end with a spectacular fireworks show to celebrate the 4th of July weekend.
Interested drivers must fill out the entry form by June 21st in order to ensure the increased purse.
