Auto Select is sponsoring the Hard Charger Award this season, recognizing the drivers who gained the most spots in their respective classes’ feature races. Here are winners of the award from Thursday, Aug. 20th:
Auto Super Late Models pres. by C-Tech: 4-Luke Fenhaus
Fenhaus wins the Hard Charger honor for the first time this season after coming from his eighth starting spot to win the feature. Special mention goes to Justin Mondeik and Mark Mackesy, who finished second and third after coming from the ninth and 10th starting spots, respectively.
Advance Auto Parts Pure Stocks: 19-Mitch Stankowski
Stankowski grabs the award for the second straight week after a feature win. This time it comes after starting fifth before coming through for his second feature win of the season.
Snap-on Mini Mods: 22-Greg Blount
Blount once again came from the back of the field to win another feature, starting seventh before passing George Seliger late and winning his fifth feature of the season.
Rockstar Mini Stocks: 57-Tyler Custer
Custer wins the award again this week, this time after starting 12th but coming all the way up to finish second in the 25-lap feature behind race winner Eric Breitenfeldt.
Ropa’s Pizza Bandoleros: 901-Alex Hartwig
Hartwig once again set fast time, started 10th in the feature but zoomed through the pack quickly to finish 5-for-5 in winning Bandolero features at State Park Speedway this year.
